Dale's"Dale Mee was recommended to The Flying E Ranch in 2004 by cattle foreman Allen Culp. He drove our young 6 & 7 year old team of Belgium drafts for the 2004-2005 guest seasons. I have the utmost confidence in his ability, and he is very personable with our guests. Dale is an asset to our ranch continuing to drive since the 2005 season for the Flying E Ranch. Professionalism in his field makes him very qualified for all levels and breeds. Dale carefully checks harness, horse and wagon before loading the guests while keeping his calm. Safety is a key factor when driving a team of draft horses and Dale is constantly aware of his surroundings with particular attention to detail. He has been a huge asset to our safety program and I would recommend him highly. I am proud to call him a friend and fellow educator."

Just a quick note of Thanks on the outstanding West Coast Cavalry Competition hosted by the Lazy D Rockin' P Ranch April 2009. A fantastic job in the planning, execution, and follow-up of this event. I was not sure what to expect from that part of the country considering climate, terrain or any other area specific considerations, having not spent a lot of time in Arizona. and being a Virginia boy, From the beginning, Dale and Patricia Mee relieved my apprehensions via multiple phone calls and e-mails to assist with not only the area specific considerations, but also route selection to Arizona and horse friendly lodging along the route. Upon arrival at the ranch, the staff assisted with lodging and providing a tour guide for the local area, both on horseback and automobile. Dale Mee is quite the local historian and his depth of knowledge regarding the Indian Wars campaign of the South West is some of the best in the business. Anyone interested in the 1860 to 1890 time period of history should definitely contact him for a tour of the local area.

The actual cavalry competition was a real treat. The courses were challenging, fun, and safe. It was very obvious that the staff involved spent many hours in the planning of this event. Attention to detail was superior with course design, layout, and execution. Whether it was taking into account proper horse lead or having an NRA certified safety official on hand for the execution of mounted pistol, all events were top notch. It was very obvious not only to me, but the other participants that Dale and Patricia truly love running a ranch and all things that are related to that operation. What a GREAT time I had in Arizona.

My Cavalry hat is off to the Mee's and Lazy D Rockin' P Ranch

Very respectfully submitted
